Indore Marathon '10 | Run... for a Greener Indore!
"We run, not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves...
The more restricted our society and work become, the more necessary it will be to find some outlet for this craving for freedom.
No one can say, 'You must not run faster than this, or jump higher than that.'
The human spirit is indomitable."
- Sir Roger Bannister
We have pestered Mother Nature with vehicular air population, irritated her with smoking factory chimneys, beleaguered her by dumping inorganic waste into water and annoyed her with repeated use of non-biodegradable plastic bags. She has been tolerating this for the past several decades, and we have been taking her for granted. It’s time we apologise and run back into her arms and embrace her. Like a child which errs once, twice or many a time around but always cometh back for the love and forgiveness of the Mother, it is time we showed our concern.
Let’s gather together on October 2, 2009, and run shoulder-to-shoulder for a united cause and for a common reason – Nature.
