Blood Donation Camp

Indore Marathon is not like any other marathon event. Its an event with a social touch through which, we at IIM Indore, have tried to contribute every bit we can towards a prosperous future. The Blood Donation camp held at IIM Indore Campus was another link in the chain towards bringing humanity together.

Through this year’s marathon, IIM-Indore wishes to sensitize the masses about growing health concerns and promote health consciousness. IIM-Indore participants organized a Blood Donation Drive at IIM Indore Campus on 27th September 2011. It has also undertaken an AIDS awareness campaign to impart knowledge and spread awareness about the dreaded disease and how it can be prevented. It plans to remove misconceptions about AIDS from the minds of the general public.

Indore Marathon team also organized free health-checkups at Holkar Science College, Indore on 30th September 2011 in this regard. Around 170 people participated in the free health checkups and around 100 took blood/haemoglobin tests.
