Indore Marathon 2010

"We are different, in essence, from other men. If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon."

-Emil Zatopek, Czech runner; winner of four Olympic gold medals

After two spectacular seasons, Indore marathon is back again with its third edition. The theme this year is "Run for an Educated India". IIMs are considered to be one of the elite institutions for education in India and this is a fitting reason why the event will be culminating at the portals of IIM Indore. IIM Indore has carved a niche for itself in the field of Management education. Year after year IIM Indore has been producing managers who not only possess business acumen but are also socially sensitive. Continuing the trend, the young managers at IIM Indore are organizing Indore Marathon on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti with the aim of arousing social consciousness and solidarity among individuals.

The city of Indore joined hands on two previous occasions to support causes like Peace and Greenery. This year in view of the new fundamental right incorporated in our Constitution, the theme of the marathon is "Run for an Educated Indian". With the theme "Run for an Educated India", Indore Marathon 2010 strives to bring together people from all walks of life to unite and create awareness of the importance of education in each and every individual. We invite all of you to be a part of this mega event on 2nd October, 2010. Let the roads of Indore be flooded with people running for the cause of education. Let us all unite and stand up for "An educated India"- a better India.
